Biography

Rosalyn Candy also known as "The Goddess of Soul" is originally from Louisiana. She is noted as a Singer, Songwriter, Producer, Actress, Published Author, & Entrepreneur. Rosalyn became influenced by her mother who started off as a gospel singer and later became a minister. She embraced music throughout her younger years. Rosalyn recorded her first song professionally at nine years old with her parent’s gospel choir.

Rosalyn has released singles and albums in the R&B, Blues & Southern Soul genre. She has been featured as Spotlight Soul Artist of the Week by Jackson Music Awards in June 2019. Rosalyn was also featured in the Pokey "Side Piece" video.  Rosalyn leaves her mark of originality on every project she touches.

As a published author, her books "This Purple Ribbon” and “The Way They Made Me; A Broken Vessel", can be found on all digital bookstores as well as hard copies.

She can also be seen in the movie “Emancipation” released in 2022, starring Will Smith,  "The Photograph" released February 14, 2020, starring Issa Rae and Lakeith Stanfield from the legendary movie "Get Out".  Rosalyn can also be seen on the streaming channel Tubi, in the movie Inner City Blues. 

Rosalyn was nominated for Jackson Music Awards "National Female Vocalist of the Year" in 2021.
